July marks the first month of the last half of the calendar year, and that means a lot of people are setting goals or adjusting the goals they set back in January.
For me, the idea of setting goals still gives me a little bit of anxiety. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m afraid I’ll fail to achieve the goal and that sneaky fear of failure whispers its doom and gloom into my ears, or if there’s another shadow I haven’t identified yet.
It could also be that as a manifesting generator (in Human Design), I have a tendency to jump from thing to thing, depending on what’s lighting me up in the moment. This makes it difficult to set goals because, while I may be super excited about that particular thing now, in two months I could have completely moved on to something else.
So, what to do? I know that having goals can be incredibly helpful for actually getting things done and moving forward towards something higher and better, but if you’re anything like me, there may be a little (or a lot) of resistance there.
If that sounds familiar, then maybe start by making a simple checklist of things that you think you want to do. For some reason, that feels far less intimidating. And, if I decide I don’t want to do that thing anymore, I don’t mind crossing it off the list or moving it to a “Maybe Someday” list.
With that in mind, here are some intentional actions you could add to your list of goals or your “to do” (probably) list. These are all things that spark a little bit of joy in my world, and hopefully they’ll spark something in you, too.
Ready? Let’s do it!
😎 7 Soul Sparks for the Remainder of 2025
☐ Send yourself a love note: Write down three things you accomplished this year that you’re proud of. Tuck it somewhere you’ll find it later.
☐ Embrace morning stillness: Begin your day with a moment of silent reflection, grounding you in the present.
☐ Swap screen time for sky time: Trade 10 minutes of social media for 10 minutes watching the sunrise or sunset. Feel the difference in your energy.
☐ Clear your spiritual clutter: Archive those 15 “maybe one day I’ll read this” spiritual PDFs clogging your downloads folder. Your mind will thank you.
☐ Ask your guides or Source one question: Light a candle, take three deep breaths, and ask: “What do I most need to know right now?” Listen for the first thing that comes through.
☐ Create a summer ritual: Maybe it’s morning coffee in bare feet on the grass, or an evening gratitude practice under the stars. Something that grounds you in the season.
☐ Create a sacred summer altar: Gather seasonal elements like fresh flowers, crystals, or seashells to create a small sacred space that honors the summer’s energy and keeps you connected to the season’s abundance. (You can update it later to swap in fall items – like colorful leaves, a pumpkin, etc.)
