I have a confession to make. As the founder of a business called SoulRise Rituals, I rarely, if ever, actually do rituals. Not the elaborate, beautiful ones I’ve lovingly created and shared with you. Not any of them. For a while now, this has made me feel like a fraud, but I’ve realized the problem isn’t me, it’s the model.
A Confession from a Spiritual Business Owner
The truth is, I’m so incredibly busy. Between my two day jobs, my family, and building this business, my life is has become a masterclass in figuring out how to fit things into my calendar and scrambling to keep everything going. I love the idea of a beautiful, hour-long ceremony, but the reality is that I don’t have an hour. When a moment of chaos hits or even at the end of the day when I finally sit down to relax, the last thing I have time for or what to do is to dig my Google Drive folders and PDFs for a guide that’s going to take even more of my precious energy. And whether I did or didn’t, the result was a quiet, creeping guilt that I was failing at my own spiritual practice.
We Were Made for a Different Kind of Rhythm
There’s a reason this feels so disjointed. For aeons, civilizations lived by lunar cycles, honoring the natural ebb and flow of energy. We’re beings made primarily of water, and we’re just as impacted by the moon as the ocean tides are.
But the modern world runs on a different clock, a standardized, Gregorian calendar that flattens our energetic reality. I spend my days living by that clock, and I bet you do, too.
But our energy levels don’t follow that system. They shift with the lunar and solar cycles. And that’s something I’m starting to honor more deeply in my own life. Not through elaborate rituals, but through systems that help me stay connected without adding to my workload.
The Moment I Knew Things Had to Change
Back to the story… A few weeks ago, I had a realization: if I wouldn’t personally pay for and use the products I’m creating right now, then I’m profoundly out of alignment.
I realized I was creating tools I thought I should use, not tools I would use. And that misalignment was exhausting.
So I asked myself: If I wouldn’t pay for and use this product right now, why am I offering it? That question changed everything.
What's Staying (For Now)
I’m still offering the ritual guides and seasonal workbooks through the beginning of the new year. They’re still valuable. They’re still helpful for the people who have the time and space to use them. I’m just not staying there. My energy is shifting, and my business has to shift with it.
Whether it’s the Full Moon, Mercury retrograde, or my own intuition prompting me to re-evaluate, this pivot feels deeply aligned with the reality of my life. And if I’m my own ideal customer (which I am) then this is the right move.
What's Next: Streamlined Spiritual Support for Real Life
I’m building something new. Something I actually want to use. Something that gives me a practical, daily glimpse into how to work with the natural cycles of the moon to manage my energy and plan my world a little more in tune with my body’s rhythms.
I’m all about streamlined support and systems in my own life, and I want to offer that kind of support to other women (and anyone) who are just as busy as I am. Maybe even busier.
The tools I’m creating are:
- Automated. They come to you, so you don’t have to remember.
- Moon-aligned. They honor the natural ebb and flow of lunar energy.
- Practical. They take 30-60 seconds, not 30-60 minutes.
- Tech-enabled. Because technology and nature aren’t opposites—they’re a bridge.
I’m working on something that brings spiritual connection into the small pockets of time you already have. No PDFs to download and forget. No guilt about what you’re not doing. Just simple, consistent touchpoints that reconnect you to your body, your soul, and the rhythms of the earth.
(Stay tuned. I’ll be sharing more very soon.)
There's Nothing Wrong with Rituals (Unless They Stress You Out)
Let me be clear: rituals are powerful. If you have the time, space, and energy for them, they can be deeply transformative. But if they’re adding stress, guilt, or one more thing to your to-do list, they’re not serving you.
And there shouldn’t be any shame in that.
You’re not less spiritual if you don’t meditate for an hour every morning. You’re not doing it wrong if you work a “normal” job (or two). You’re not going to be condemned to a life of 3D drudgery if you haven’t canceled your Netflix subscription to spend more time on “spiritual stuff” instead.
And it’s okay if you’re not psychic, telepathic, or able to channel. You’re not doing things wrong. You’re living the story your soul wrote for you, with its own unique plot twists and timings and epiphanies. And that’s more than okay; it’s sacred.
A Lunar Living Tip for This Week
The Moon enters Leo on December 7th, bringing bold, expressive, heart-centered energy. The Leo Moon invites you to step into your power and own your truth, even if it’s messy. Even if it’s not what you thought it would be. Even if it’s a complete pivot.
Your 30-second practice: Place one hand on your heart. Take a deep breath. Ask yourself: What would feel most aligned for me right now? Trust the first answer that comes. You don’t have to act on it today. Just acknowledge it.
The Third Quarter Moon arrives on December 11th in practical Virgo, offering the perfect energy to release what’s no longer working and make space for what will. It’s a cosmic permission slip to let something non-essential go.
Final Thoughts
This pivot isn’t about abandoning what I’ve built. It’s about evolving into something that actually serves the life I’m living (and hopefully the lives of the women I want to support).
I’m excited and a little bit terrified to be on this new path, but it feels more true and aligned than anything I’ve done before. Thank you for being here, for reading this, and for being part of this community. The future of SoulRise is practical, it’s supportive, and it’s built for the lives we actually lead.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re failing at your spiritual practice because you don’t have the time, I want you to know: you’re not broken. The system was. And we’re building something better.
Stay tuned.
